Felder has distinguished himself as a relative newcomer who combines the traditions of rock and blues, while adding a fresh take on each genre. He has delivered many inspired performances held together by passionate vocals, rhythms and lyrics shaped by his life experiences.  Felder, along with the guidance of Noveskey, are currently planning a fall tour.  Make sure to keep an eye out for upcoming shows near you.
His debut album What’s Underneath smoothly shifts gears from the bluesy sounds of “What’s Going On” and “Little Miss Impossible”, to the groove-laden “Deja Vu”.  The track “Ember” introduces an emotional and sultry side with a delivery that seems almost effortless.

After serving in the military for several years and gaining experience as a performing artist, Felder eventually returned to Austin; in 2007, and began the band “Bus to Brooklyn”.  They performed along the East Coast to New York and Chicago.  The band made a number of memorable appearances, including performances at “Texas Rockfest” in Bryan, TX; M.E.A.N.Y. Fest in New York, and “Heart of Texas Rockfest” this year during SXSW.

In 2002, Felder joined the U.S. Army Infantry and was stationed in Hawaii, and served while at war with Afghanistan 2004 to 2005.   It was during these years of service where the island culture and surroundings began to shape his musical tastes.  He entertained fellow soldiers and locals by strumming his guitar along with several different bands, and gained local radio and TV attention.

After graduating from Boerne High School at the age of 18, his love for music inspired him to buy a travel trailer and move to Nashville in hopes to jump start his dream career.  He was surrounded by a high volume of competitive musicians and made his way back to Texas to refine his songwriting and performance skills.  The story behind his years of dedication would later lend a sense of authenticity to his sound.

Felder has been working with Matt Noveskey (Blue October) to produce his EP What’s Underneath.  The resulting effort is a work of remarkable creativity and range, blending Felder’s early influences with elements of country, roots rock and blues.  He has the ability to deliver a lyric with country soul backed by personal life experiences and observations.  That combination produced a debut of depth and fun-loving storytelling.

Jesse Felder is an Americana-blues rock singer-songwriter, hailing from Ausint, Texas.  He was raised in Central Texas where he grew up amidst the sounds of gospel music at church, and his Dad’s favorites James Taylor and Carol King.
